“ What an incredible time this was fun, beautiful the food was incredible. I just absolutely loved it. He might look at my other reviews. I’m a restauranteur So I’m quite often visiting high end restaurants. This was one of the best. I’ll definitely be back. ”
“ I love places in Wichita that make you feel like you are not in Wichita. This is one of them. You feel like you have been transported to a trendy restaurant in Japan. The design and decor is AMAZING! The food is wonderful, too. My husband and I did their lunch combo. We each had an appetizer. I had the Gyoza. The sauce was very tasty. My husband had the Takoyaki balls. They were so soft and creamy. The sauce on these was also good. I had the #1 Ramen. I ordered it with black garlic. My husband had the #2. The noodles and bamboo have a nice texture. The marinated eggs are soft and delicious. The flavors with the broth are exceptional together. We had their Thai tea for drinks. My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves. I highly recommend this restaurant. ”
“ Authentic ramen and Japanese cuisine! Since moving to Wichita from California, I’ve been craving that authentic taste of Japanese restaurant food I’ve grown up eating, and this hits the spot. This is now my go-to lunch place! I ordered the lunch special: free drink and appetizer with any ramen; I chose Thai iced tea, takoyaki, and the Mega Ramen. The quality of each dish I had was high quality and consistent, from the ramen to the yakitori and tempura and takoyaki. I was particularly impressed at the quality of the meat products, such as the chashu in the ramen, and the yakitori meat skewers — extremely tender and with the perfect amount of fat, but not too greasy. The takoyaki is the best I’ve had in Wichita, and I have had a lot of takoyaki — the batter is not too wet or airy and binded really well with the filling, you can actually taste the octopus. I finished my meal with the matcha tiramisu, which was perfectly creamy and not too sweet (a compliment for an Asian palate). I enjoyed everything in my lunch today and I’ll be certainly coming back excited to try their other dishes that look just as promising. If I had the stomach, I would have tried everything on the menu. The biggest thing that made me feel back at home was how nicely decorated this restaurant is. It’s connected to TBaar seamlessly in a beautiful scenery of modernized Japanese style interior, decorated with lots of wooden placards with fun writing and drawings on them. It’s giving trendy and super photogenic date spot. I absolutely love that the various booths are pretty private and so beautiful. They also played some wonderful Japanese 80’s / city pop music which makes me feel really nostalgic. The overall atmosphere really took my experience to the next level. My one and only criticism is that the waiters should perhaps ask if it’s the customers first time at Kyuramen to give a rundown of the menu for those not as familiar with this type of cuisine, as I observed the table next to me felt pretty lost with what to expect of the menu since they do not really dine out to Japanese restaurants. However the service was still great, Quinn was good to us today. I highly encourage people of Wichita to dine here for an authentic and immersive experience. There’s even a call button on the table to call the waiter over in a subtle manner! The price definitely shows in the quality of everything here :) ”
“ I don’t just give it 5 star reviews. But this place earned it. My wife and I are big people so we do not use booths. However this place has booths, The ones with curtains, that sat us comfortably. The food was beyond our expectations. Flavors that were unfamiliar and comforting at the same time. I recommend the #3 with an extra tonkatsu. We’re live in Kansas City, MO. And we will be back for Kyuramen. I also recommend a Brown Sugar Bobba Milk Tea for after dinner. ”
“ Absolutely stellar experience. The atmosphere was so calm and inviting, the booths have curtains (I didn't get a picture of them, they are on the opposite side of the hexagonal booths in my first picture, those are for larger parties). I loved the privacy, was great for catching up with a friend on her birthday. Very good, friendly service. Food was outstanding. The lunch special is a free drink and appetizer with your ramen. I got the gyoza which was so delicious! I got the Tonkatsu ramen which was very delicious but I liked the spicy side of my friend's yin yang bowl even more, and will see if I can get a whole bowl of that next time, just incredible. I liked the spices available and added the sauerkraut pepper to my bowl, loved it even more that way. Overall just a lovely experience for all the senses, would highly recommend. ”
“ Great find in Wichita - a ramen shop with reasonably good ramen, a lunch set that includes an appetizer and drink for free, and the unique architecture and building to entertain the kids, including a wishing tree and honeycomb seating areas. ”
“ This became easily by far my favorite place for Japanese food. They don't try to mask any flavors to appeal certain audience and I love that, this feels homey and done with love, each dish we've try so far y carefully crafted and the combination of flavors is quite different and satisfying. The staff is super kind and very receptive to all our inputs, for such a small place they take care to accommodate to our needs and I'm telling you is a great place to try something different and good. Food is just amazing and we expect coming back! The drinks bar is fantastic and you'll end up wanting to try every single one without getting disappointed. A I really like this place and I keep recommending to all my people to try it out ”
“ Very interesting place for a night out with friends. The Ramen options are solid, but not significantly different from other Ramen restaurants. I had the Tonkatsu Omurice which was memorable (see video). The decor and atmosphere really make the experience. We sat in a honeycomb booth which was fun but not really comfortable. The wait staff was friendly and helped us navigate the menu since it was our first visit. Overall the food was good and atmosphere was unique enough that we will certainly return again. ”
